Save money when visiting Turkey with this pay as you go SIM card which comes with 100 airtime "units". There is NO cost to receive phone calls while in Turkey. Calls to landlines in the UK and elsewhere in Western Europe, as well as the USA and Canada, are charged at 3 units per minute - which is YTL 2.32 per minute (about £0.85).

It is free to receive SMS and costs YTL 1.4 to send a text to a UK mobile, or about £0.50 per SMS.

NB: you must have an unlocked phone to use this Turkish prepaid SIM card. We offer SIM free phones, specially selected for their suitability for international travel.

Your SIM card must be used within 4 weeks of purchase. When you arrive in Turkey, put your Turkish Blue SIM into your phone, switch on, and enter the PIN number listed on the envelope. Your SIM is now activated. Your credit lasts for 2 weeks from activation, and this can be extended by topping up.

GPRS available - why pay for roaming with your domestic SIM card, charged for on a per Megabyte basis? BlueSIM offers you "all you can eat" GPRS for a month for 700 units - which is approximately £44.50.

Tourist information: you can get historical and tourist information by callling Ceptour on 7523 at 10 units / minute.

Your Turkish phone number is 10 digits long.

Customer service can be reached by calling 444 0 452, using your Turkish prepaid SIM card. Then push 2, and select your language.

Topping Up: You can purchase top up vouchers for your Turkish prepaid SIM card in kiosks, TelSIM phone shops, hotels and from tour guides - ask your hotel or tour guide for details.

You can check your account balance by sending a blank text to 7501; there is no charge for this service.

For friends to call you, your number will start +90 (for Turkey) and the remaining digits of your Turkish SIM card's telephone number . To make an international call, dial either 00 or the "+" symbol and the country code (e.g. 44 for the UK) followed by the area code (minus the leading "0") and the phone number.
