 ADSL: the acronym for Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line - asymmetric as the pipe to bring data to you is wider than the pipe from you to the internet. ADSL is the most common form of broadband in the UK.
SDSL: Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line, with equal bandwidth in both directions. This is used for business broadband - useful for companies that have to upload or send a lot of data. We have a simple "availability checker" to see if you can get UK broadband. Just typing in your postcode or phone number is enough to find out.
