There is NO cost to receive phone calls while in the Philippines and calls to both local numbers and "back home" are much less expensive than using your mobile phone abroad.

It is free to receive SMS and approximately GB£0.02 to send them to other Philippino mobiles, and about GB£0.10 to international ones.

NB: you must have an unlocked phone to use this Phillippines prepaid SIM card. We offer SIM free phones, specially selected for their suitability for international travel.

Your pay as you go SIM card activates when you either make your first call in the Philippines or send an SMS (text message) from the Philippines. Once your SIM card is activated, you also will be able to receive incoming calls.

Your Philippino phone number is ten digits long commencing with "9" and is indicated above the barcode on the SIM instruction card.

Customer service can be reached by calling *888 using your Philippines prepaid SIM card.

Topping Up: Buy a voucher from one of the many authorised Philippines Smart outlets to top up your prepaid SIM card. Once you have done that, key in 1510 + the 14-digit top-up voucher code and press SEND. The automated operator will confirm your new balance.

You can check your account balance by calling 1515: you will then receive an SMS with your remaining credit and how many SMS text messages that you have left on your account.

For friends to call you, your number will start 63 (for the Philippines) 9xx - your 7-digit Philippines SIM telephone number . To make an international call, dial either 00 or the "+" symbol and the country code (e.g. 44 for the UK) followed by the area code (minus the leading "0") and the phone number.
