Free SMS build website visitors

We worked with a company that had built a wonderful new webshop but weren't getting many visitors. However, they were sponsoring some rock concerts. We provided them with "free SMS" cards to give away at the various events.

To be able to send the web-based free SMS, the concert goers had to visit the sponsor's website - which instantly built site visits and awareness. To be kept informed of upcoming concerts, website visitors were invited to provide their name, postcode and mobile numbers. Concert details were then published on the website, with an SMS broadcast about once a month, to let the growing database of fans know that there was new information on the website.

Site visits grew as did the e-commerce turnover from the webshop. The SMS marketing campaign was an enormous success.

Free SMS cards for trade show visitors

A long term exhibitor lamented that they know only a tiny percentage of the trade visitors to an international show, but regularly met the same people every year: this was good, helping to keep their existing business, but they wanted to expand their international sales.

People walking the aisles past their show location were handed "free SMS" cards. In order to get their web-based free SMS, users had to visit the company's website and provide basic contact details to set up and log in to their account.

The cost of acquisition of new trade customers was very low, making the show the most productive it had ever been: another example of a using free SMS and SMS messaging in a successful SMS marketing campaign.

German MPs give voters free SMS

A number of German MPs enhanced their image and got voter attention by handing out free SMS cards at political rallies.

The recipients were then able to send a selection of individually set SMS campaign slogans to their friends, increasing the spread of the campaign messages.
