clients re-visit their websites regularly to send out their online
text messages or SMS.
We operate the portal as a demo site for our
commercial customers, but it is available for members of the public
to use at low cost. Just follow the link through if you wish to
use the SMS portal for online texting for your own purposes or
to evaluate the applications for your organisation.
Our online texting system can have full
address book facilities, so that you can store your friends' or
colleagues' mobile phone numbers, and then put each person into
one or more groups. When you prepare a text message for despatch,
you can then select whether to send it to one or more individuals
or one or more groups.
For commercial operations, it is possible to have the 160 characters
of a standard text message reduced, so that a short, punchy slogan
is added to each text message sent out from a custom
SMS portal.
For some organisations, we have provided a tool, that allows
them to decide to have a number of "standard" messages
available on the site; they choose how many messages are to be
displayed, and can add, delete or edit each message. Their site
visitors can then choose to send out a standard message to a friend,
and add in their own additional text, and click on send. This
was carried out with great effect for the German "SPD"
political party for the 2004 Euro elections.
