As a result of the email revolution, the use
of the fax machine has declined - and yet, there are still times
when it would be very useful to be able to receive a fax, or to
receive it while away from the office.
Here's a way you can
receive faxes, wherever you might be: our "virtual fax" (or fax
to email) solution.
You obtain your own
fax number, and then redirect where the fax goes to at any time
via the web. You can also have inbound faxes converted to a graphics
file and forwarded to you as an email attachment, thereby saving
you the cost of having to have your own fax machine at all!
You save on the cost of a fax line, the machine
itself, and all the consumables. And you have the advantage of
being able to get your faxes anywhere that you have an internet
connection.
Just like a "real" fax, you can set
up your virtual fax so that the ID that prints on remote fax machines,
when they have faxed you, is a combination of your name and virtual
fax number.
How fax to email works:
When a fax arrives for you, you can have a notification sent to
you by email or SMS - the cost of the SMS is discounted and only
costs 9p. As another part of the set-up, you can choose the format
that the fax will be converted to when sent to you by email: these
include PDF, as well as PCX and DCX.
