Must be purchased with an Orange 12 month voice and data contract! The HP Jornada 928 WDA seamlessly integrates the functionalities of a full-colour Pocket PC with those of a GSM/GPRS-enabled phone - giving mobile professionals the freedom to manage voice, data and personal information from a single device while enjoying connectivity to the Internet and e-mails.
TWO SCREENS
Ultra-slim and lightweight, the HP Jornada 928 WDA features an intelligent dual-screen design that lets users access phone and Pocket PC functions independently of one another. The main 16-bit colour reflective TFT screen delivers excellent indoor and outdoor viewing and provides access to all PDA applications and features. Meanwhile, a second, blue-backlit liquid crystal display (LCD), which remains visible when the protective cover is closed, lets users easily view phone functions and make and receive calls without having to power-up the full Pocket PC unit - thus saving time and minimising battery consumption.
Slim, Low Power
Inside, the HP Jornada 928 WDA is the first Pocket PC to adopt the OMAP 710 integrated GSM/GPRS modem and application processor from Texas Instruments. The OMAP 710 brings high performance at low battery consumption for a host of applications such as mixed multimedia messaging, Internet audio downloads and video playbacks. The tightly integrated architecture, with three processors on the same chip, contributes to the device's slim form factor, leaving plenty of room for an integrated CompactFlash Type 1 extended slot enabling superior expandability.
Voice Dialling, Long Talk Time
In addition, the new HP Jornada has integrated MicroChaiVM software, a voice-activated dialing application, and a unique dual-battery system for extended autonomy. This dual-battery system comprises one integrated and one removable/ rechargeable lithium-polymer battery for extended autonomy - an estimated 3 hours talk time or 12 hours PDA usage and 120 hours standby time.
Pocket PC 2002
The HP Jornada 928 WDA is based on the latest Microsoft® Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition Software, providing a robust and familiar environment for a host of applications for the mobile professional. The product has been intelligently designed inside and out to deliver seamlessly integrated voice, data and personal information management in a single sleek device.
