Slim design
Pick it up, look it over and try it in your hand and up to your ear. The
Nokia 3210 is a combination of slim design and top technology. When you
see its large display, well-designed keypad and smooth contours, you can
see right off that it's a Nokia mobile phone.
The Nokia 3210 is light, only 151g, and comfortable in your pocket. But
it's so nice to hold, look at and use - so it might not spend much time
in your pocket.
Main menu animations
Everybody thinks in different ways. Some people think fastest when they
see a written word. Others recognise pictures faster. But almost everyone
can recognise clear, simple animated pictures, quickly and easily.
To make the features easy to understand - and fun to use - many of the
functions and menu items in the Nokia 3210 are shown by animated images
on the display.
Picture messaging
Sometimes a picture tells more than a thousand words. The Nokia 3210
lets you send pictures as part of a short message to another Nokia 3210.
You could create your own picture signature. Or say it with pictures by
sending a heart to the one you love. Don't wait for Valentine's Day. There
are three designs already in the Nokia phone. Plus there is room for one
new design.
Ring tone composer
Now you can make your phone totally yours, with a ringing tone that
is all your own. Use the ringing tone composer to create your own ringing
tone. Use it yourself or send it to a friend. Happy Birthday, Jingle Bells,
or your own original tune.
You can define different ringing tones for different callers.
Internal aerial
Hey, where's the aerial? One of the first things you notice is something
that it isn't there. The aerial really is in there though. But it's built
in. It gives you good coverage and there's no aerial to get caught on
your jacket pocket. But best of all is the way the Nokia 3210 looks. Sleek,
smooth and stylish.
The availability of services may vary depending on the region and on the
operator. Check your status at the operator's helpdesk.
Fun outside - Xpress-on covers
The Nokia 3210 is the first mobile phone with Xpress-on covers
you can change on both sides - front and back. Snap off the front, snap
off the back, and snap on a new cover to match your mood or to suit the
situation. Rocket Silver for a party, or - who knows - Zircon Green for
business.
Predictive text input
Predictive text input makes writing fast and easy.
Instead of pressing each key one, two or three times, press it just once.
The text input software decodes the keystrokes and scans the internal
dictionary for matching words. With this software the Nokia 3210 is much
easier to use for writing short messages.
Predictive text input is available in Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish,
French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish.
Dual Band Functionality
It's like having two phones in one. The Nokia 3210 works in both GSM
900 and GSM 1800 networks. And it switches between networks automatically
- even during a call within the same operator's networks.
The Nokia 3210 always selects the strongest signal. So you get a more
dependable connection, for example in a shopping centre or at the end
of a football game when everyone wants to call home at the same time.
Also, when you're travelling, the dual-band operation of the Nokia 3210
gives you more networks to choose from, depending on operators' roaming
agreements.
The availability of services may vary depending on the region and on the
operator. Check your status at the operator's helpdesk.
Pre-paid meter
Everyone likes surprises on their birthday but no-one likes them when
the phone bill comes. With the pre-paid meter you decide in advance how
much you want to talk - and how much you want to pay. When the time runs
out, buy more - or wait until next month and begin again.
Designed for markets where pre-paid SIM cards are popular.
The availability of services may vary depending on the region and on the
operator. Check your status at the operator's helpdesk.
Long operating times
How mobile is your mobile phone? It all depends on how often you have
to stop, find an electrical outlet, and recharge the battery.
The Nokia 3210 stands by for up to 260 hours with the standard battery
- that's over ten days. And you can talk for up to four and a half hours.
Operating times will vary, of course, depending on your network and how
you use your phone. But in normal usage, you can probably go several days
without recharging. So leave your charger at home and get more mobile.
Dimensions & weight
How small is just right? Small enough to carry in your pocket without
you noticing it. Light enough for a long chat without your arm getting
tired.
How small is too small? You need a large display and a large keypad
to make a mobile phone easy to use.
Weighing in at a featherweight 151 grams, the Nokia 3210 won't wear any
holes in your pocket. But it is a good weight to feel right in your hand.
