Ipswich based Orate ltd has launched their "painless, PIN less" direct dial service for making international calls from UK mobile and landlines at lower cost.
"We have listened to what our customers have told us about the awkwardness of using either prepaid phone cards or international access numbers, where you dial first one number, then enter a PIN, and - if you have credit left - then dial yet another number" explains Orate's director Richard Atkins.
"Our new service is rightly described as 'painless, PIN-less', as you have a UK number assigned to you for each of the international calls you make regularly. Dial the UK number, and the international number rings. There's no PIN, no managing prepaid credit, you just dial."
"A further advantage" explains Atkins "is that you can get a 10p a minute number which instantly directs calls to a UK mobile phone on the major networks - that's around half of what people usually pay."
"And instead of dialling a 'long distance' number in the UK, you can get a UK local rate number at just 2p a minute. This 0844 number could also be part of the bundle of free minutes on many mobile phone tariffs."
